Our Children's Ministry seeks to bring children into age-appropriate worship where they can belong to the family of God, grow in their relationship with Christ, learn to serve, and then go share Christ in the world.
We have Sunday School for every child at 9:45 on Sunday mornings. Bible Drill is offered for those in grades 4-6 and it meets on Sunday afternoons during the school year.
We offer a week of intense fun and study every June at our annual Vacation Bible School. On Wednesday nights we have music and missions for our preschool and children up through sixth grade. Scattered all throughout the year are special trips and activities. McDonough Road Baptist Church seeks to provide a safe place for your children to develop spiritually and relationally with one another. We invite you and your family to come and be a part of the excitement as we journey together in our faith.
Sunday School: Every Sunday starting a 9:45am all ages.
- Our studies for preschool and grade school ages will lead kids to know and connect with the God of the Bible.
- They'll grow to understand that He is real and relevant to their everyday lives.
- Imagine kids learning to not only seek the truth through Scripture but also being challenged each week to apply those truths to their lives.
- Imagine kids seeing God as the Great I Am, not some fictional character they can take or leave.
School Year Schedule: Every Wednesday, from 6:00 - 7:30pm Children's & Preschool activities
Preschool and Children
Starting February 7 we will introduce a new and exciting time for all children through 5th grade called WOW (Worship on Wednesday). Starting at 6:00 pm your child will experience 3 different centers to help them grow and learn more about God and themselves:
Center 1- Listen to me sing- this is a time of singing and worship usually accompanied with motions. This is also the time we will introduce the Bible lesson for the evening as well as our mission theme.
Center 2- Watch me grow- this center provides children the opportunity to be hands on by doing activities like baking, dancing, playing an instrument or building a fort to survive in the wilderness.
Center 3- Explore my world- this center provides an opportunity for children to learn about missionaries all over the world. During different times of the year we will even skype with missionaries who are currently on the field. This time is also when we will complete our Bible lesson.
For the month of February we will offer 2 options for children to choose from:
Baking with Pamela White
Wilderness training with Greg Owens
As a preview for March we will offer dancing with Sloan Segala.
